Registry Referral Program
In-Home Supportive Services Independent Care Providers who are on the Public Authority Services Registry can earn gift cards for every valid care provider they refer who is successfully added to the Registry, while supplies last.
Refer an IHSS Independent Provider to Join the Registry and Win Gift Cards
- Receive a $25 gift card when a referred person successfully completes all steps and is added to the Registry. This includes completing steps to be Enrolled as an IHSS Independent Provider and successfully completing an interview, references checks and attending a Registry Introduction Training.
- Be entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 gift card for referring a person to the Registry (must not be a current or past Registry provider or already applied to be a Registry provider).
eligibility Criteria and Program Guidelines
- Eligibility: Only active Registry providers can participate in the Referral Program. An active Registry provider is defined as one who is in good standing with the Public Authority Services (PA) Registry and meets the Registry program guidelines, such as completing monthly check-ins, responding to PA Registry phone calls, and following the IHSS provider rules and regulations.
- Valid Provider Referrals: A referral is valid if the referred individual has not previously applied to be on the Registry, is currently on the Registry, or was on the Registry in the past.
- Monthly Drawing for $50 Gift Card: Each month, valid referrals from a Registry provider are entered into the monthly drawing for a $50 gift card. There is no limit to the number of valid referrals entered into the drawing each month. For example, if you make eight (8) valid referrals, you have 8 chances to win the monthly $50 gift card.
- $25 Gift Card: To be eligible for the $25 gift card, the referred individual must successfully enroll or be enrolled as an IHSS provider, pass the Registry screening and interview process, attend the Registry Introduction Training, and agree to the terms and conditions of being accepted as a Registry provider.
- Successfully enrolled as an IHSS provider means completing required information in the online Enrollment Center website, watching the state mandated videos, attending a group orientation, going to an individual appointment where information is reviewed, and scanned, as well as getting fingerprinted and passing a California Department of Justice background check.
- Gift cards will be mailed after the referred provider has completed all the steps and been successfully added to the Registry. If one step is missed or the referred individual withdraws from the process, the referring provider will not receive the $25 gift card. There is no limit to the number of $25 gift cards a referring provider can receive.
- Multiple Referrals of the Same Provider: If the same provider is referred by more than one Registry provider, the first referral, based on the date/time stamp of the online entry, will be given credit for the valid referral.
- Online Referrals Only: Only referrals received through the online form will be accepted. Referrals via phone, mail, or email will not be accepted.
- Program Timeline: November 2024 – June 2025, while supplies last.
